With profound sadness, we share the news of the passing of a pillar of our community, Clayton Johnson.
Clayton was more than a supporter of our cause; he embodied the compassion, grace, and humility we aspire to at the Silver City Gospel Mission. He was a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to those who needed it most.
For many years, Clayton devoted his time to teaching Bible study to the women and children residing in our shelter. His words of wisdom, patience, and kindness touched their hearts in an indescribable way, fostering a sense of hope and resilience in everyone. The love he shared was immeasurable, evident in the eyes of every girl who adored him and looked forward to his lessons.
Clayton's generosity knew no bounds. He was always there to lend a hand, whether repairing a vehicle in need or even purchasing new ones for those in desperate situations. His actions spoke louder than words, showing us what it truly means to love thy neighbor.
His long-time support of our mission has left an indelible mark on our organization. His dedication and passion for service were unmatched, making him an extraordinary role model for everyone around him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at Harvest Church Silver City, with a celebration of life meal following services.
