food boxWe offer monthly food boxes in the thrift store to those who need food.

These boxes consist of whatever food we have on hand at the time and we try and provide enough food for a family of 4 for about 3 days.

They are meant to be an emergency stop-gap measure for below-poverty-line families to make it until their next payday.

These boxes are intended for families who have a permanent residence and are able to cook on a stove or other safe heat source.

We give these boxes out once per month to ‘at-risk’ families to help out with their food budget and if they sign up we are also able to hand out a Government Commodities box.

What’s Normally Included In The Food Box?

Frozen or fresh
2 loaves of bread
2 items of frozen or refrigerated food rescued from grocery stores
1 frozen container of food leftover from the soup kitchen

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love”

Canned
2 jars of peanut butter or other protein item
2 cans of tuna fish
2 cans vegetables
2 cans fruit
2 cans tomato sauce
2 packages pasta
2 packages ramen noodles (if available)
2 cans soup
2 cans beans

(We try and provide these items, but it all depends on what we have on hand at the time)

We also provide daily meals in the soup kitchen.
