Clothing BankAt the Silver City Gospel Mission Clothing Bank, anyone who says they are in need is allowed to receive 10 articles of clothing for each family member once each month without charge and they may also receive one coat and one blanket per member each year. (2 pants, dresses or skirts, 2 shirts or blouses, 2 undergarments, 2 socks, 1 pair of shoes and 1 accessory item)

If someone is truly homeless, we also allow them to get clothing at other times during the month, due to theft, lack of cleanliness and storage problems, etc.

We also accept all forms of household goods donations, including furniture and appliances on a space available basis to either sell in the thrift store for cash or to use for household setups when there is a fire, someone got a house and is moving out of our shelter, etc.

Other Ways We Can Help

In addition, we try and help our guests through lay counseling where we find out what is happening in their lives and either plug them into some of our special programs or refer them to other agencies in the area.

We also try and provide those we are helping with opportunities to give back a little by volunteering at the Mission and helping others in need and by having dirt-cheap prices in the thrift store.
