Hello everyone,
We've been focusing a lot on education, updates, and information in our recent conversations, and it's time we take a breather from it all and share a few stories. After all, storytelling is one of the oldest and most universal ways of passing down wisdom, and sometimes it's just what we need to inspire us or give us a fresh perspective.
Many may not know this, but I have a soft spot for storytelling – an inherited trait from my Dad. He was a master of turning everyday occurrences into the most gripping narratives, filled with humor, wisdom, and heart. He had this incredible knack for making even the ordinary seem extraordinary. From him, I learned that every person, situation, and moment in life has a story.
So, in the spirit of my father and his love for tales, I'm excited to share a few stories I've put together with you. These stories are inspired by my experiences, the people I've met, and the life lessons I've learned here at the Mission.
In each of these narratives, you'll find a germ of truth, an essence of reality. Yet, they're all animated with drama, given a new life with imaginary characters, and set in familiar and new places. And to respect everyone's privacy, I've changed all the names and disguised all the characters.
I hope these stories resonate with you as they have with me. You may see yourself in some of them, or they may take you to a place you've never been. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I've enjoyed putting them together.
I look forward to your thoughts and feedback, but please remember that while I may weave a little magic with my words, sometimes the harsh reality of real life is slightly different than the stories I tell.
I also have many ideas I would like to see implemented, but due to a lack of resources, I have yet to be able to, so if you see one you'd like to jump on, come on in so we can discuss it.
