There is an emergency men’s and women’s shelter open at SPIN, located at 601 N. Gold St in the cul de sac at 7th St and Gold, behind public works yard

We also have a permanent women’s and children’s transitional home which you can read more about here.

Thanks to a grant form Freeport-McMoran, we have homeless survival kits that provide some protection from the elements and The United Way of SW New Mexico has given us some funds to purchase sleeping bags and warm blankets.

If you or someone you know is homeless, please get with our case worker and we will try and get you a place to stay.

Other Local Shelters

El Refugio is a mid-term facility for abused women and children who have a police report in hand.  Space is limited.

Local churches or child or adult protective services may sometimes be able to help by providing either a place to stay or temporary funds for rent or a hotel room.

HUD housing assistance is also available to qualified individuals.  Please see our case worker for assistance.
