Awards? Who needs awards? Certainly not any of the devoted professionals at the Gospel Mission. They don't need awards but they definitely deserve them and no one is more deserving than Randy Salars, Executive Director of the Mission.
Think about a person who after serving his country in the military, earning a degree, raising a family and working as a professional; decides to become a leader in his community serving the most in need – that person is Randy Salars.
Silver City, like most communities, is home to disadvantaged communities. Because of Randy's full commitment to serving those in need, there are people, our neighbors, who are less hungry and a little warmer at night.
Randy was recently recognized by the Silver City-Grant County Chamber of Commerce with the Linda Kay Jones Humanitarian of the Year award. Congratulations Randy. And thank you.
