We recently had some FFA, and 4-H kids volunteer their time and energy to help The Silver City Gospel Mission. Through hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude, these kids have proven they can always be counted on when times are tough.
The rescue mission serves the homeless daily with food, clothing, and other necessities. It is staffed by employees and volunteers who work long hours to ensure everyone gets what they need.
It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to be part of either of these organizations. The training that comes with being a member helps build character qualities like integrity, respectfulness, responsibility, and problem-solving skills – all essential traits needed when volunteering with a cause like this one!
As we move into the future, it is refreshing to know that there are still people willing to put their own needs aside for those of others. After all, life isn't about how much money you make or how many possessions you own – it's about helping each other one step at a time.
Kudos to our FFA and 4-H members for showing us what it truly means to be selfless, and thank you for your hard work!
