The United Way of Southwest New Mexico is mobilizing our community to provide personal care and basic need items to our most vulnerable residents.
Every day items most of us take for granted, like toothbrushes, soap, or a comb can make a big difference for someone living in poverty or experiencing homelessness.
Believe it or not, some of the most important essentials people need can fit right inside of a SHOEBOX. United Way will collect personal care and basic need items from individuals, families, organizations and businesses around the region.
The shoebox care packages will be redistributed to the clients of the Silver City Gospel Mission.
We need you to help make our event a success. Would you be willing to participate? We will need donations by November 30th. All items needed are listed below:
Travel size hand sanitizer
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Travel size shampoo
Travel size soap
Travel size lotion
Travel size tissue packs
Travel size baby wipes
We can only accept items on this list. Please no medicine, mouthwash, food, sewing kits, razors, or used/opened items.
Your help would be greatly appreciated to make this event a success!
Please join our efforts to help those in need in our community!
